Production process in steps

Our heating film production process is based on state-of-the-art technology and rigorous quality standards. Every step, from the selection of raw materials to the inspection of finished products, ensures the highest efficiency and reliability of our heating solutions.

1. Preparation of carbon paste

The process begins with the preparation of a special carbon paste that will serve as the heating element in the film. This paste is a blend of carbon materials and fasteners, tailored to provide optimum heat conduction and electrical properties. The recipe for our carbon paste is Termofol's most closely guarded secret.

2. Carbon printing on PET film

The prepared carbon paste is then applied to the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film using special printers. This allows the paste to be precisely applied in specific patterns and thicknesses, which is crucial for the uniformity and heating efficiency of the films.

3. Carbon hardening

Once the carbon paste has been applied, the film undergoes a curing process, which can take place in an oven or through exposure to ultraviolet light. This process stabilises the carbon paste, increasing its adhesion to the PET film and providing the electrical properties necessary for heat generation.

4. Silver print

The next step is the application of silver, which serves as electrical connections for the heating elements. Silver provides excellent electrical conductivity, which is of paramount importance for the efficient distribution of current through the heating film.

5. Re-hardening

After silver printing, the foil is again subjected to a curing process to ensure the durability and stability of the electrical conductive pathways.

6. Application of copper strip

In order to ensure an effective electrical connection and to distribute the energy throughout the film, a copper tape is placed on the edges of the film. This tape acts as electrodes to connect the film to the power source.

7.  Film lamination

The final stage is lamination, i.e. covering the heating film with a protective layer that protects the heating and electrical components from mechanical damage and external influences. The lamination also provides electrical insulation and improves the safety of the heating film.

Step 2: Prototyping

Once the details are agreed, we start preparing for production. We present a graphic design of your heating film so you can see how it will look.

Step 3: Sending samples

Before we start large-scale production, we will provide you with a sample of your heating film. You will be able to see first-hand what your product will look like.

Step 4: Signing of the contract

This is a good time for final comments and corrections. The more of them you provide, the better we can prepare your product. The next step is to sign the contract for the production of the heating film.

Step 5: Film production

Once the contract is signed, we can start producing the heating film in our factory. See the various stages of heating film production.

Step 6: Delivery

The final stage is delivery. Once the film is ready and tested, it travels to the delivery location you have indicated and you can start selling your heating film.
